According to the Securities Times, BYD announced that the company plans to spin off its holding subsidiary BYD Semiconductor and list it on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s Growth Enterprise Market. BYD Semiconductor will continue to engage in R&D, production and sales of power semiconductors, smart control ICs, smart sensors and optoelectronic semiconductors. In the future, BYD Semiconductor will focus on automotive-grade semiconductors and simultaneously promote the development of semiconductor business in industries, home appliances, new energy, consumer electronics and other fields, and is committed to becoming an efficient, intelligent, and integrated new semiconductor supplier.
