On December 22, the main plant of Qingdao Semiconductor's high-end packaging and testing project was successfully topped off in the West Coast New District. The heads of relevant units such as Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone, Fusion Holding Group, International Investment Promotion Center and representatives of project parties attended the topping-out ceremony.
The Qingdao semiconductor high-end packaging and testing project has a total investment of 1 billion yuan, which is introduced by the New District International Investment Promotion Center. It is a two-level key project of Qingdao city and district in 2020. On April 15 this year, the project landed in the West Coast New Area through an online "cloud contract", mainly using the world's leading high-end packaging technology to package 5G, artificial intelligence and other application chips that are currently in rapid growth in demand.
Since the implementation of the project, the International Investment Promotion Center has strictly implemented the "Hundred-Day Tackling" combat requirements of key urban projects, and has effectively cooperated with project services and construction units and coordinated services to overcome the adverse effects of epidemics and rainy seasons, and make every effort to ensure the smooth construction of all aspects of the project Advance.
The project took 176 days from the start of construction to the topping of the main plant, laying a good foundation for the installation and commissioning of production equipment next year. It achieved the signing of the contract that year, the landing that year, the start of construction that year, and the capping of the year, and ran out of the new district to help accelerate industrial development.
As an expansion project of the integrated circuit industry chain in the West Coast New Area, this project will promote the transformation and upgrading of the integrated circuit industry in the new area and even Qingdao, and help the high-quality economic and social development of the new area.
